Case DescriptionWyteria Jones, a 45-year-old mother and resident at the Douglas Hotel, was last seen in approximately later September of 1982. The Douglas Hotel closed on October 1, 1982, and a witness recalled seeing her outside in the days leading up to the closure. She reportedly left to travel to the Joliet Motor Lodge in Joliet, Illinois but never arrived. She was reported missing on January 29, 1983. Her whereabouts remain unknown. Wyteria’s case was the subject for Season 3: Wyteria Is Missing of the of the Elgin Police Department’s podcast Somebody Knows Something in an effort to generate new tips and leads in her case.
